Travel Tuesday: Chicago 45

I love Chicago, it is a tall city, that is filled with life.  The CTA Blue line rattles from O'Hare into the heart of the city. If the winters were milder, I would love to live there.  I was so glad to go back, I had not been there since BC (before Covid.) There were new buildings, old buildings that have been given new lives.  And the weather was mild, even warm, making for great long walks.

  1. Our friend in London visited this year and wrote about it and it does seem to be a wonderful city, but with some issues. Have I heard something somewhere about Chicago's F Line train?

    1. It is a big city, with big city challenges. I am not familiar with an F line.

  2. I agree with you about Chicago. If it weren't for the weather, we would have moved there years ago in a heartbeat. I love the “reflective” photo of you.

  3. An amazing city! I see that you spotted Kim Jong Un from behind. He must have been over on a shopping trip.

  4. I haven't been since before covid either, while I was working with Bloomingdales. So, I only saw and had time for a wee bit of sighting. I should go back. I have three friends who live there, and I could meet blogger Sixpence.

  8. This is one of my favorite cities so I LOVE all your photos. I think you've capture the building I lived in when I was working there for 2 1/2 years. I lived in the building next door to the Hyatt Regency on Wacker Drive. In fact, there was an underground walkway from my building to the Hyatt. I was on the 12th floor facing southeast and I had a great view. I think that view has changed a lot with lots of new buildings in every direction.

    2. I lived in Illinois back the the 1970s. I almost decided to move to Chicago in 1982, but finally decided to move to Washington DC instead. I'm glad I made that decision. Walt and I went to Chicago in 2006 and enjoyed it.

  9. I am glad I lived there when I did; it was the best of times; it was the worst of times for me. Now i feels like a memory did it really happen?
