The Sunday Five: How are We Feeling?

  1. When was the last time you laughed out loud?
  2. What brings you great hope?
  3. Who do you talk with, or turn to in troubling times?
  4. Have you tried turning down the negative feed in your life?
  5. Do you have enough propps holding you up?
My answers:

  1. When was the last time you laughed out loud? I can't remember, meaning it has been too long.
  2. What brings you great hope? Retirement is 18 months.
  3. Who do you talk with, or turn to in troubling times? My sweet bear, a few blog friends. Finding someone to listen is often the greatest challenge, let me know if you need an ear.
  4. Have you tried turning down the negative feed in your life? Less news, less Facebook, not none - but less.
  5. Do you have enough propps holding you up? I think so, some days I feel like the walkway above.
Please share your answers in the comments.

  2. 1. REALLY out-loud? It would have been a few weeks back when with my college friends. The biggest laugh was at my own expense. But my husband makes me laugh too.
    2. There is no great hope at this point. I mean if there were truly ANYTHING anyone could nail BLOTUS on, I'd have a glimmer of hope. But he's greasy, slimy and can seemingly slither out of even attempting to overthrow a government.
    3. It depends. Husband, friends, one who is a psychiatrist, but not MY psychiatrist.
    4. Tried. Trying. Any news intake is extremely limited. But it can't help seeping in.
    5. Again - husband and friends. They're keeping me up and hopefully I'm helping in doing the same for them.

  3. When was the last time you laughed out loud? About five minutes ago when Tuxedo begged to be taken outside and Carlos obliged, but it was raining and as soon as the drops hit Tuxedo, oy, the look on his face. And I laughed.

What brings you great hope? I heard a story of a drag queen reading to kids at a zoo, and how there were a few hundred protesters, but then more than twice as many counter-protestors. I equate that to voting; if we all show up to the polls and votes, we can get things started back to a more normal equitable future.

Who do you talk with, or turn to in troubling times? Always Carlos.

Have you tried turning down the negative feed in your life? I try to avoid it as much as possible; I steer clear of negative people and negative news.

Do you have enough propps holding you up? We just had lunch yesterday with a good group of friends and that propped me up. Laughter, chats, good food, friends.
