One day recently we spent an hour exploring the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town Alexandria. And yes, it was a factory that made torpedos for many years. The space is filled with studios for working for artists. Really neat. I was struck by the tools of creativity of some of the artists. Hence this weeks Sunday five.

Delete1. Is blogging an art? If so, I use a keyboard.
ReplyDelete2. I can barely write now due to my hand tremors. I use a very nice smooth pen when I have to. My writing was never very good anyway.
3. Kitchen? I am not there often using tools. A paint scraper is very useful and we've used ones for years, to serve lasagne, tuna mornay and as an egg slide.
4. My late uncle's hammer and my grandfather's tyre pressure gauge. There is a blog post in them.
5. Bunnings, our large green shed hardware store. Aside from the tradie eye candy, you can come across the most interesting new things that you may or mostly not need.

ReplyDelete1. Camera and computer are my medium. And it's an iPhone camera at that.

3. It oddly might be the silicone tube that I put garlic in to shed it of its paper skin.
4. I don't have one. I'm sure I have things from my parents, but as a favourite tool? I just don't have one.
5. I don't think I have one of those either.
I always have spell check on, a boss of mine once went a message to all of the members of a state legislature urging them to help the "poop people" she meant the "poor people."
