  2. 1: What is your favourite distilled spirit? - Irish whiskey and "Powers" is my preferred brand.
2: If you order a mixed drink or cocktail, what are you likely to order? - I don't order mixed drinks but if pushed I would order a cuba libre (Bacardi and coke)
3: Do you drink shots, or sip slowly? - I certainly would never drink shots so I guess the answer is "sip slowly".
4: Beer, wine, or water? - They each have their moments and the idea of choosing one above the others seems daft.
5: Is there a brand you will decline? - Yes. Anything with "Trump" on it though a friend gave me a novelty toilet roll with Trump's face on every sheet.

  3. Oh I have missed the Sunday Five and feel like I've been gone weeks!

1: What is your favorite distilled spirit? Tequila.

2: If you order a mixed drink or cocktail, what are you likely to order? A Reposado with fresh lime and grand marnier, chilled and served straight up. I call it a Bob-a-rita!

3: Do you drink shots, or sip slowly? I have done shots but those days are over. I sip and savor now.

4: Beer, wine, or water? I love all three but the options with wine are so varied I choose the grape!

5: Is there a brand you will decline? Nearly all cheap white tequilas.

  4. 1. Tequila.
    2. Margarita. No salt.
    3. My shot days are long long done. Even then, it was rare.
    4. Chances are: water. Believe it or not.
    5. There are probably a few beers et al that I would nix due to the companies or owners political affiliations.

  5. Forgive my correction Dearest, but you are more likely to order some sort of martini rather than a manhattan. 😘

    1. Good point, the manhattans are often made with swill, it harder to mess up gin though "Hendricks" is my preference.

    2. Have you ever had Fifty Pounds gin? I had it on my flights. Tasted it first before I added the tonic and it was delicious. And, Spanish style, they poured it right from the bottle until I said “when.” (I said it very slowly.)

  6. 1: What is your favorite distilled spirit? Bourbon and gin. I know...two different flavor profiles!
2: If you order a mixed drink or cocktail, what are you likely to order? Gin and tonic in the summertime, Manhattan or bourbon on the rocks.
3: Do you drink shots, or sip slowly? Sip slowly and if I'm given a shot, I sip that, too.
4: Beer, wine, or water? Wine and water. I order wine more than I do cocktails.
5: Is there a brand you will decline? Yes, cheap stuff. I'm at that point in life where I follow my dad's philosophy...enjoy the good stuff.

  9. 1. Probably gin, though SWMBO doesn't allow it in the house, so I drink either Canadian Blended whiskey or vodka.
    2. Gin and tonic, unless we're in a Mexican restaurant where I have a margarita.
    3. My days of doing shots (of Tequila) are long in the past. Now I just sip.
    4. Beer (if I have some Black Butte porter or Dos Equis Amber). Wine, red or white depending on what we're eating.
    5. Coors beer (terrible stuff), or any Scotch.

  10. 1: What is your favorite distilled spirit? yes yes yes to ObJ !!!
2: If you order a mixed drink or cocktail, what are you likely to order? I size up the bartender to sense if they 'know what they are doing' first. I ask if they can make something on my bucket list; then what is their speciality? Then I go for my favorites.
3: Do you drink shots, or sip slowly? I need to sip slowly in 2024.

4: Beer, wine, or water? that last one is a mixer is it not?

5: Is there a brand you will decline? Old Crow. Oh the pain.
