Back in March of 2018, I spoke at a conference in San Francisco, and when it was over, I rented a car for a flow drive down the Pacific coast to Pebble Beach. Before I left I kept asking people, how long will the drive take, and they kept saying, it depends on how heavy traffic is on the expressway. I would clarify that I wanted to drive the old slow road along the coast, and they shrugged and said, we don't know, we never did it that way. I am so glad I did, it was spectacular.
The had seen golf tournaments at Pebble Beach, it was an amazing drive.
Photographs help us to look back. A nice collection. Did you play a few holes at Pebble Beach? I guess it's a course that is often affected by sea fogs.
ReplyDeleteI last played golf in about 1980. The coastal fog was wonderful.
DeleteGorgreous scenery!
ReplyDeleteThey charge admission to drive in the neighborhood, and it is worth every penny.
DeleteGod I love Pebble Beach and the Monterrey area. We always drove Highway 1 when headed that way because it was such a gorgeous drive. Every so often we'd take Highway 1 from San Francisco all the way down to LA; it was a drive but so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI should have scheduled a couple of extra days,
DeleteI've always thought the coastline of California is absolutely stunning. One of my favorite places when I go out to hang out is Sausalito.
ReplyDeleteCousin Joan lived there for a long time, she is not Palo Alto.
DeleteBeing geographically challenged, myself, I thought Pebble Beach was in Florida. Here I am, just a few hop, skips and jumps away. I won't visit. Traffic, you know.
ReplyDeleteIt was a pleasant slow drive
DeleteOh, I forgot to add, the pictures are gorgeous. The male model is a cutie!
DeleteI did that drive once and I agree, it is a beautiful drive and well worth taking the time to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe photos remind of how nice it was.
DeleteGorgeous photos, and that first one of you is exceptional. 😘
ReplyDeleteYou say the sweetest things.
DeleteYour photos are beautiful and you have increased my desire to someday visit that part of California.
ReplyDeleteI would love to drive from San Diego to the Washington border. We drove the Washington coast a few years ago.
DeleteThe trees on the cliffs are iconic
ReplyDeleteI remember the golf course from my father watching golf on TV, the scenery is memorable.
