Sunday Five : Lazy Days of Summer

For most of my readers (not all of them) summer is upon us.  So here are a few questions about summer.

1: Have you ever spent a day floating down a slow moving river?

2: Have you ever gone fishing?

3: Have you walked slowly across a tall bridge?

4: Do you use air conditioning on hot summer days?

5: What do you drink on a hot summer afternoon?

My Answers,

1: Have you ever spent a day floating down a slow moving river? No, I missed that one.

2: Have you ever gone fishing? A long time ago, yes.

3: Have you walked slowly across a tall bridge? Yes, and looked over the side.

4: Do you use air conditioning on hot summer days? Always.

5: What do you drink on a hot summer afternoon? Water.

Please share you answers in the comments.

  3. 1: Have you ever spent a day floating down a slow moving river? Maybe an hour or so but not a day.
2: Have you ever gone fishing? Yes - a few times but I don't like catching fish because they are so beautiful and other worldly.
3: Have you walked slowly across a tall bridge? Not slowly but at medium pace - The Humber Bridge - once the longest suspension bridge in the world.
4: Do you use air conditioning on hot summer days? - Hardly anybody has air conditioning in England. It would rarely be useful.

  6. 1: Have you ever spent a day floating down a slow moving river? I grew up in a little town called Fair Oaks, right on the American River, so we spent great deal of our summers rafting. Great fun lazy days, really.

2: Have you ever gone fishing? I did as a wee lad with my Dad, also on the American River, and I loathed it. It's golf with fishing poles it's that boring.

3: Have you walked slowly across a tall bridge? I have a few times.

4: Do you use air conditioning on hot summer days? Yes, but we keep it set rather high, at 80-degrees, and use the ceiling fans to keep the air moving. And it goes off at night.

5: What do you drink on a hot summer afternoon? Iced Tea with just a bare hint of sweetness.

    4. No, I don't have air conditioning. Edmonton doesn't get blisteringly hot in the summer, except for a few days.
    5. When it's hot, I love to drink ice water.

  11. 1: Have you ever spent a day floating down a slow moving river? No, but I've floated for an hour on the lazy river ride at a water park.

2: Have you ever gone fishing? Once. My father made me go. Hated it. The first site of a fish wiggling on a line and struggling to get free has haunted me my whole life.

3: Have you walked slowly across a tall bridge? Yes, I like heights if I am secure and surrounded by rails or walls. And you get great views from a bridge.

4: Do you use air conditioning on hot summer days? We have central air and we use it along with fans. I do not do heat.

5: What do you drink on a hot summer afternoon? Usually old water (with ice). Sometimes a nice glass of iced tea or lemonade. once in a blue moon, an ice cold soda pop.
