Waterford is near the Atlantic on the south side of Ireland. The crystal shop and factory tour had closed a day or two before - thanks to COVID. So we had lunch, and little wander around, then drove down along the coast for a couple of spectacular hours. Much more fun than the Crystal works.
The tour of the Waterford factory was quite interesting but maybe your coastal drive was better.
ReplyDeleteThe road and the weather were spectacular
DeleteI had forgotten about your Covid timing. Glad you got to enjoy the sights.
ReplyDeleteSomething I learned from Jay, when traveling, always be flexible. It seldom goes as planned.

DeleteWH, the Rome rule, Rome always wins, just roll with it.
DeleteOf course, I love all the old buildings, but then you toss in that beautiful coastline and it's magical.
ReplyDeleteSo many fun places to go,
DeleteLoved that day at the beach! My kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun, a little windy,
DeleteYou found lots to see without the tour. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't by any crystal, that I really don't need.
DeleteI like those two ancient Celtic chairs in front of the church. Looks like many people have sat in them!
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't raining, it would have been a nice place to sit. Or maybe I should learn to sit in the rain.
DeleteAll great photos.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
Great coffee in Idaho today. The cafe is Soda Springs was unsure what to do when I asked for iced coffee, I said, ice and coffee, the coffee was strong and made excellent iced coffee, starbucks would have charged twice the price for half the taste.
