Travel Tuesday: Walt Disney World March 2019

I long ago lost track, I have probably been to Walt Disney World 100 times.  My brother Gary worked there for 43 years, for several years I bought an annual ticket. I have been there for by invitation only private parties, and in the midst of tourist season. I have been there until the closed, and gone out, had lunch, ridden the train around the Magic Kingdom and gone home.  This was the last visit, and it may be my last visit.

A town in Michigan

  1. I've been to Disneyland a number of times and our last two years in California we lived 10 minutes away and could hear (not see) the fireworks. But I've never visited Disneyworld and doubt I ever will at this point. Florida is not on my list of destinations.

  2. In some photos it looks so busy. In others quiet. Gary was the driver of one of the vehicles?

  3. I have been twice. I just never got into anything Disney. Rides, parks or entertainment.

  5. Growing up in California we went to Disneyland quite a lot, and then when moving to Florida Carlos and I went a couple of times.
I won't go back to the "World" because of Florida, but I might like to see the "Land" again.

    2. It's gonna take some work by its citizens to remove the wingnuts.

  6. "...it may be my last visit". Why? Have you only got a few months left to live? Maybe that is why you have decided to retire? I imagined that upon retirement you'd be visiting Disneyworld and Disneyland all the time.

    1. I look forward to many years of seeing the real world, instead of the fake world of Disney

  7. This brings back memories. I haven't been there in possibly 30 years. However, I was there for the grand opening ceremonies for EPCOT. I got to see Walt Disney give a speech for the opening.

    1. Before EPCOT opened to the public, there were a couple of weeks of private pre-views, testing - I was there for a day.

  8. I haven't been to Disney in probably 20 or so years. Is the fact that this may be your last time due to the state of things in the "sunshine" state of Ron DeSantis?
