YouTube Monday: Al Bundy's Best Insults

Tasteless and far ahead of its time. Married with Children was brilliantly written. And Still good for a much needed laugh. I have seen the episode that Fox refused to air.  Peggy and Al, and Marcie and whoever she was married to at the time, checked into a sleazy motel, for a night of passion. Only to discover that the owner was broadcasting from hidden cameras.  They sued for violation of privacy. Marcie and her hunk won a ton of money, the jury couldn't decide if Al had did anything that would count as sex. It was like 20 years before someone agreed to allow that one to be aired, it was hilarious.

  1. I dunno, I was never a fan of the show and think I've seen just a couple of episodes, and not all the way through.

  2. The first time I ever saw "Married . . . With Children" I thought "WTF is THIS?" but ultimately I became a big fan of its satire and tastelessness. It was clear that both Al's and Peg's lives "peaked" in high school (quarterback and cheerleader) and then their lives spiralled downwards into a shitshow ever since. The whole series was like "revenge of the nerds" written by every kid they ever bullied or lorded it over in high school when they were the top of the pack.

  6. I only ever watched it at the Gym, because that's what was on the TV in front of my treadmill at the time I went every morning. I chuckled a few times. I do love Katey Sagal, but love her much more as Leela from Futurama.

    1. It is a little dated. I sold ladies shoes for a year while I was waiting to start law school, most of the jokes are based in reality.
