  1. How long until we are all driving electric cars? Many years. Recharging stations have to be abundantly available everywhere.
Have you owned a diesel car? No
What is lowest price you remember ever paying for fuel (petrol, gas, diesel)? I remember paying between 29 and 39 cents a gallon when I first got my license! I also remember when gas pumps had to be redone to include 3 digits before the decimal point. (Am I THAT old?)
Have you ever run out of fuel? Yes. The Italian Riviera 1976. We found a discarded gas can, a couple (in microkinis) drove us to a gas station and back, and they then ran out of gas.
When do you think we will have self driving cars? Not as soon as had been predicted, I think. How’s that for a non-answer?

    2. No. My brother did, back in the days of glo plugs to warm the engine before starting.
    3. 17 cents per litre which seems to be 77 cents per gallon.
    4. Close, but no.
    5. See answer to 1.

  4. 1. It will be a while. And it won't be Tesla.
    2. I have not. My parents did. Oldsmobile Tornado. The thing shook like an 18 wheeler.
    3. Honestly, I don't know. I never paid that much attention.
    4. Never.
    5. I don't even like to use cruise control. So, not in my lifetime.

  5. How long until we are all driving electric cars? I agree; at least 20 years so it should be sooner.

Have you owned a diesel car? I have not.

What is lowest price you remember ever paying for fuel (petrol, gas, diesel)? 50-cents a gallon??

Have you ever run out of fuel? Never. Knock wood.

When do you think we will have self driving cars? I don't trust that, but .... fifty years???

    1. The hardest part of the gas tank to fill, is the very bottom.

  6. 1. Electric cars? Maybe 20 years if extensive infrastructure gets built by then.
    2. Diesel car? Never had one. Would never have one.
    3. When I was a little kid, gas was 35 cents a gallon, same price as a package of cigarettes. I know that because my parents used to send me down to the gas station to buy them a pack of smokes. Now across Canada, a gallon (4 litres) of gas ranges from $6 to $8.
    4. I've never run out of fuel although I came close a couple of times. Too close for comfort.
    5. Self-driving cars? Still a lot of practical and legal issues to work out. Let's say 20 years for them too.

    1. The condo I live in is moving forward with installing charging stations. I only drive about 150 miles a month, would work for me if I could charge here at home.

    2. How long until we are all driving electric cars? After I die, for sure.
Have you owned a diesel car? No, but I once accidentally put a little diesel fuel in my non-diesel car - yikes! I thought I was going to blow up driving it home.
What is lowest price you remember ever paying for fuel (petrol, gas, diesel)? Less than $2.00
Have you ever run out of fuel? Never! I'm too anal to not obsessively ensure I have enough gas in my car before I drive anywhere, but I have worried it got so low i couldn't make it to a gas station in time.
When do you think we will have self driving cars? Hopefully never.
