The Saturday Morning Post; Going to the Dogs Again

The dog's name is Robicheaux, and his owners name is Ronna. He is an enthusiastic jumper. Absolutely full of fun, full of life, capable of being calm, and sweet, and affectionate one minute and jumping head high the next.  I saw them coming down the sidewalk, with the dog periodically jumping.  I started following with my camera and when they crossed the street he put on a spectacular display.  Ronna stopped to ask if I had any good photos of him fully in the air. I showed her a couple, and she sent me an email so I could send them to her.  I shared half a dozen.

There is a meme that makes the rounds from time to time, of a dog rushing out of a gate and down the street, with the caption, live like someone left the gate open.  A good philosophy.  Most of the restrictions in our lives are self imposed.  Robicheaux even on his lead, jumps for joy.  I am going to remember to do that this week.

  1. That's excellent advice and most of us to learn a lot from dogs about how to let go and have fun. So cool you were able to share some of your photos with her.

On a side note my very own Buster Borghese turns 16 today!!!!!

  4. At first I thought it was some kind of optical illusion, but you're right about that being one happy dog!
    Great advice, too.

  9. I envy a dog's unbridled joy, ability to relax, and pleasure at just seeing people. I want to come back as a dog.
