The Sunday Five: What to ask?

  1. What could Santa bring you for Christmas this year?
  2. Have you been a good girl or boy this year?
  3. Have you started your holiday shopping?
  4. Is there anything you don't want as a gift?
  5. Is it the thought, or the gift that counts?
My answers,

  1. What could Santa bring you for Christmas this year? Another good year.
  2. Have you been a good girl or boy this year? Good yes, girl or boy - only one of the above.
  3. Have you started your holiday shopping? Started.
  4. Is there anything you don't want as a gift? Socks and underwear.
  5. Is it the thought, or the gift that counts? The thought, I don't keep score any longer.
Please share your answers in the comments.

  1. 1. Normally I would reply, "He would be...:, but given the age I have now turned, an older Jaguar but not so old that it doesn't have air conditioning and electric windows.
    2. Sadly, rather good.
    3. For Christmas? No. Not until December.
    4. Anything my mother gives me.
    5. The thought really. I can buy what I need now and that isn't very much.

Have you been a good girl or boy this year? Im always right on the fine line!!!

Have you started your holiday shopping? No. I never have much to get anyhow.

Is there anything you don't want as a gift? I'd say no political related items. And no novelty gifts.

Is it the thought, or the gift that count. The thought. But we prefer to just get together.eat drink and enjoy each other's company and enjoy the decorations.

    1. Maybe you should steal the line, ?When I am good, I am great, and when I am bad, I am even better"

Have you started your holiday shopping? I don’t holiday shop.
Is there anything you don't want as a gift? Knick knacks.
Is it the thought, or the gift that counts? The thought. Definitely the thought. And the gift is not necessary.

  6. What could Santa bring you for Christmas this year? A new federal government; the one I have appears to be broken.

Have you been a good girl or boy this year? Pretty good boy; lousy girl.

Have you started your holiday shopping? You know me... it's pretty much done.

Is there anything you don't want as a gift? Anything that's too inexpensive.

Is it the thought, or the gift that counts? You know me, I keep an old pocket calculator at hand to keep score. 😁

  7. What could Santa bring you for Christmas this year?
    A new car
Have you been a good girl or boy this year?
I have been a good boy but not a good girl - except on Friday nights when I step out in women's clothes and a faux fur cheetah coat.
Have you started your holiday shopping?
    I don't wish to buy a holiday.
Is there anything you don't want as a gift?
    Yes. Any kind of roadkill.
Is it the thought, or the gift that counts?
Both. If you care about someone you pick a gift that you believe they will appreciate. The saying "It's the thought that counts" is silly in my opinion.

¿Has comenzado tus compras navideñas? No
¿Hay algo que no quieras como regalo? No...

  10. Toys and clothes...but I'd love a trip to somewhere exotic.
I think I've been a little of both.
Shopping is done. Holiday cards are designed, ordered, and received.
I don't like getting clothes, but appreciate them none the less (if they fit.)
It is the thought that counts.
