I bet you can't read her screen!

I have a love hate relationships with my Kindle.  It is wonderful, light, easy to carry, it holds a ton of books, it holds a charge for hours of reading, it saves bookmarks that move across platforms, I can change the font size so I can always read without my glasses.  There are a couple of design issues with my current Kindle.  The power switch sticks out from the bottom and is a push button, if it bumps into something in my bag it will run the battery down, or even worse, advance pages - sometimes to the end of the book.  It also does not have an option to return to the last bookmark.  I have had a bag full of Kindles, I have broken a couple of them, had a software failure and had the battery go bad on one.  I liked the earlier design better than this one.  But I still love it and will buy another one when the time comes.

Now I bet you can't read the screen on the one in the picture, not because of the picture quality, or image size, the screen is in Mandarin.  Amazing technology.

  1. I absolutely love my Kindle Paperwhite. I had almost given up with books due to print size (regular book was too small, large print was too large) but I'm back to daily reading again with the Kindle. And, like you said, it's perfect for travel. I bought a case for mine that keeps it clean and keeps the switch from activating - I think it was around $20 or so and well worth it.

  2. I tend to prefer books but use an iPad instead of a kindle for when I read an e book. It is convenient because if I don't have my iPad, I do have my iPhone and there is my book on the last page I left it and when I stop on the iPhone the iPad is on the same page when I turn that on. It's great to be abl to go back and forth.

    1. I should have gotten a better picture, you could tell us what she was reading.

  4. I have considered getting a Kindle but I'm waiting for them to straighten out the kinks. Sounds like they're not done.

    1. Ron, If you are an I=pad user, you can download the Kindle app on that, no need to have another device. I like my stand alone Kindle, it is small. If I turn off the WiFi/Cell connection, it will go for two weeks without recharging (great when I travel.)
