The Sunday Five - face-time


I recently needed to meet with a colleague, it could have been a simple hand off, I could have left a package with the front desk at the building she lives in, instead we met across the street for coffee, and cake. It was good to have face time - and not that app on some device, seeing someone face to face. 

1: Coffee - hot or cold?

2: Carrot cake or chocolate cake?

3: In person or virtual? 

4: New and local coffee shop, or big chain?

5: When was the last time you met someone face-to-face? 

My answers:

1: Coffee - hot or cold? Cold

2: Carrot cake or chocolate? Carrot 

3: In person or virtual? either, but in person was nice

4: New and local coffee shop, or big chain? New local 

5: When was the last time you met someone face-to-face? Last Tuesday

    1. Coffee is for an ice cream flavour only. Though I love the smell. Tea, I like iced, but do drink hot as necessary.
    2. Chocolate. Vegetables are not supposed to be in cake.
    3. Depending. Work meetings: virtual. Friends: in person. Family: virtual.
    4. Local. Always patronize the independents when possible.
    5. Outside of work? December - before Omicron really hit.

    1: Coffee - hot or cold? Can I say both? I mean, not at the same time, I'm not an animal.

    2: Carrot cake or chocolate cake? As one of those freaks who does not care for chocolate, I'll go carrot.

    3: In person or virtual? In person for most people.

    4: New and local coffee shop, or big chain? Always ALWAYS local.

    5: When was the last time you met someone face-to-face? Last night we went to friends for tidbits and music. Just four of us, but it was nice.

    1. Winter, spring, summer, fall coffee hot or not at all.

    2. Depends on my mood. I'm picky about carrot cake. Chocolate, not so much.

    3. Neither. Totally not a people person.

    4. Local, as in my house. I don't like coffee shops.

    5. Two weeks ago. Lunch in a hole-in-the-wall Italian food place in Livermore. Fun with a good friend and her granddaughter. We had the place almost totally to ourselves. Excellent food.

    2-either, slight preference for carrot

    3-virtual, I didn't like face to face even before the plague; email is much more sanitary
