Tests of Strength, the Sunday Five

At the DC Auto Show Jeep was driving up and down a flight of stairs, Land Rover was driving over hills that had wheels off the ground on every bump. I found the latter more impressive. Hence this weeks Sunday Five, tests of strength.

1: Which takes more strength, saying what you really think, or being tactful and instructive?
2: Do you spend first and think about it later, or think before you spend?
3: Given a choice between the Jeep and the Land Rover which would you choose?
4: Which is harder, being a sick or going to see a doctor?
5: Which weighs more a good idea that no one likes, or a bad idea that everyone like?

My answers:
1: Which takes more strength, saying what you really think, or being tactful and instructive? Being tactful.
2: Do you spend first and think about it later, or think before you spend? Think first.
3: Given a choice between the Jeep and the Land Rover which would you choose? Land Rover.
4: Which is harder, being a sick or going to see a doctor? Going to see the doctor.
5: Which weighs more a good idea that no one likes, or a bad idea that everyone like? A good idea.

  1. 1: depends on the situation; tactful to not cause hurt feelings for a friend, and strong to call an idiot out on their bullshit (like the dump and his dumplings)

2: a little of both; depends on the purchase

    3: neither

    4: being sick

    5: good idea

  2. 1: Which takes more strength, saying what you really think, or being tactful and instructive? That depends. Sometimes being tactful when you slap someone upside the head takes more strength of character. Other times, telling it like it us despite the outcome takes more strength.
2: Do you spend first and think about it later, or think before you spend? Another mixed response. I DO usually think, but sometimes... well... I just can't help myself.
3: Given a choice between the Jeep and the Land Rover which would you choose? No thanks to either.
4: Which is harder, being a sick or going to see a doctor? Going to see a doctor.
5: Which weighs more a good idea that no one likes, or a bad idea that everyone like? The good idea.

    1. Number 1 answer was supposed to read "when you WANT to slap some upside the head."

  3. 1. Being tactful, hands down! I have no filter.
    2. I think before, during and after spending. I usually spend, anyway.
    3. Whichever one is bigger. I don't like wearing a vehicle.
    4. I'm used to going to see doctors, but seeing a new one is difficult.
    5. I don't understand what is meant by weighs, but I'll go with the good idea because everybody else up here seems to like it :)

  5. 1. Whenever I say what I REALLY think, I get pulverized by those who disagree.
    2. I always think very carefully before I spend.
    3. I'll take the Jeep.
    4. I HATE going to doctors. I'd rather be sick and suffer.
    5. There's a lot of excess weight in bad ideas....
