Funky Friday: Random Photos from the past couple of month

No Flash, but please take photos.

In the middle of King Street in old Town Alexandria, is this lot, there was a used car lot here when I moved out here. It is surrounded by expensive shops, restaurants and residences. I have to think the owner has been offered tons of money for this empty lot.
I hope someone slipped a coat on her this morning.

I love the artists in residence at the National Gallery.

Remains on the windowsill.

I am always fascinated by one lost shoe, like the one next to the step. Did someone arrive home wearing just one shoe, or barefoot?

Local Crap is the freshest.

Fly your freak flag proudly.

There is More Than One Way To Stop People From Sitting Here.

  1. While not as bad as Crocs, I could beat a guys ass for wearing sock with any kind of sandal or whatever those damn things are. We already have enough plastic waste....do we have to wear it now??? And the lone shoe at first, I thought was a croc. and in which case wouldn't surprise me someone left it behind!

And it used to irk me when I was in visual display, and someone would leave a stripped mannequin in a window or on the floor.

  2. Some nice views. I never understand how shops leave mannequins displayed like that. Either do it all at once or cover the window. AND... I hope someone slipped an arm on her this morning.

  3. My sleepy eyes saw that bumper sticker as Ukraine < Putin and I became annoyed ... it took me a moment to realize it was an 'f' and a 'k'!

  4. These are great. I need to tell our "Local First" group that they need a sign to buy local crap. I think my favorite shot is the guy with the dog. That was perfect timing.

    1. We are surrounded by the strange, wonderful and beautiful. I was watching a YT video by a landscape photographer the other day, who climbed a mountain and fog rolled in and he was complaining about there being nothing to photograph, as he was surrounded by a landscape in the mist. It was not what he was looking for, so he didn't see it.
