Travel Tuesday: George Washington Presidential Library at Mt Vernon

 











We are going back for a behind the scenes tour in a couple of weeks.  Membership has its privileges.

  3. Well, this took me down a bit of a rabbit hole finding out about the Presidential Library System. It started with FDR in 1939 and then Truman got Congress to pass the Presidential Libraries Act in 1955 which led to the Presidential Records Act of 1978. Have a good morning!

    1. The book lecture talked about the challenges in the late 1790's early 1800's, he would worried but not surprised.
