  6. 1. Do you believe in love at first sight? Not really, although, upon seeing my now husband for the first time, I did say to my best friend at the time "I don't know who that man is, but I'm going to marry him." And here we are 24 years later and married. . Make of it what you will.
Did you exchange silly cards in school as a kid? Yes. In our school, everyone gave Valentines to everyone else in class. Usually in homemade mailboxes at our desk. My family always made hearts out of construction paper and attached lollypops.
Have ever broken someone's heart? Yes, sadly.
Any idea what is romantic about Niagara Falls? Nope. Been there. Done that. Didn't swoon.
Have you ever been on a blind date? Not a date, per se....

  7. Do you believe in love at first sight? Not the long lasting kind.

Did you exchange silly cards in school as a kid? It was forced upon us and I hated it.

Have ever broken someone's heart? I think so.

Any idea what is romantic about Niagara Falls? (photo above) It's pretty and if your don't push your love into the falls you've got the real thing going ...?

Have you ever been on a blind date? I have. As a freshman in high school. With a girl! At a drive-in. I came out right after. Right.After.

  8. 1. I do believe in love at first site. I just think it gets overlooked as impulsive and rarely gets played out.

    2. It was the social norm. Required. It meant nothing, unless you didn't get one. Then it just felt cruel.

    3. g-d, I hope so.

    4. I would not call Niagara romantic. But I do love it up there. Oddly enough especially the American side. The parks around it - Goat Island et al - can just be beautiful.

    5. No blind date. I'm not sure I would even given the opportunity.

  9. 1. Love at first sight? No, but attraction and lust at first sight are possible!
    2. Cards at school? Yes, we made decorated "valentine boxes" to receive them. Luckily, our school had a rule that in order to exchange cards, you had to give one to EVERYONE in the class. No exclusionary games.
    3. Broken someone's heart? A couple of times, maybe.
    4. Romantic Niagara Falls? Oscar Wilde wrote that "Seeing Niagara Fall's is a bride's SECOND biggest disappointment on her honeymoon."
    5. Blind date? Yes. With a guy named Suzuki. Unfortunately, not Dr. David Suzuki.
