Random Wisdom - From the most unlikely place

Reading can seriously damage ignorance!

Summer Drinking Tip: When someone declines an alcoholic beverage, don't ask why, offer an alternative and move on.

There is always something to be thankful for.
(Other than that, how was the theater Mrs. Lincoln?)

I don't have an attitude problem, I have a problem smiling at bullshit.

Scars are a testament to life. Scars are a testament that I can love deeply and live deeply and be cut, or even gouged, and that I can heal and continue to live and continue to love.

It's quite possible, things will turn out far better than you imagine.

Where did I find this, scattered and hidden among the hate, and garbage, and marketing, on Facebook. Random wisdom hiding in plain sight.

  2. Summer drinking tip. Excellent. Due to my depression problems I stopped drinking entirely some years back. I can’t tell you how many times people insisted and I had to argue. Appalling. One woman at a formal dinner party was so angry that I wasn’t drinking after she carefully chose the wines for every course... and I kept sayin I’m sorry, I can’t drink, that I finally snapped. Should I announce to the table that I’m an alcoholic?!? I then publicly explained that I was clinically depressed and COULD NOT drink. So, no attitude problem (I also love that quote).

    1. J quit drinking 30+ years ago, he still encounters people who can’t cope with the fact that he can’t cope with alcohol. He is alive and well without it.

    2. Wow, Scoot, people can be so insensitive and rude! I, having no filter, would've probably pretended to take a sip, started coughing and faked a seizure! I wouldn't be invited back but it would be worth it :)

  3. I love these. I used to spend a lot of time in stores with my best friend, just reading the cards and laughing our butts off! After forty years, we still do it when she visits from West Virginia. We do get odd looks and one person asked if she could join the party.
