The Way We Were Wednesday - United Nations

Before I was born, my parents took my oldest brother to New York city.  There are a handful of color slides from that trip that have survived.  While they were there, they took a tour of the United Nations building, here is a somewhat dark, handheld image of the General Assembly Room, from the 1950s.  A moment frozen in time.

  1. I love that whole neighborhood. I can’t believe we never took one photo all the times we were there... school trips, parents, friends.

  2. my 8th grade class trip was to NYC - 1968. 30 rock and the UN and the statue of liberty and times square. I don't think I have any pix.

  3. My family was there in the summer of 1964 for the 64/65 world's fair. We went to the fair, visited the UN (where I bought a charm for my bracelet), Greenwich Village, and went to my first Broadway musical, Oliver. We sat in the back row of the balcony. I'm afraid I have my memories of the fair and Oliver than I do of the UN.
