That Reminds Me
About 30 years ago, the sea lions showed up at Pier 39 in San Francisco. After failed and futile attempts to get them to move on, the pier was converted to floating platforms, perfect for sunning Sea lions. This reminds me, the outdoor pool here at the Condo will be opening in 5 weeks. I am as ready for swimsuit season as most of the sea lions.
Are you ready for swimsuit season?
have not owned one in years. besides, I am afraid of the water, except in my own shower. you sea lion, me beached whale.
ReplyDeleteYou do notice that you never see a sea lion bothering with a swimsuit. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteNow you're talking my language, Mitchell!
DeleteYes! I have lost 20 lbs or so while battling back issues, and am as skinny as I have been in the last 20 years.
ReplyDeletePlus, all my trousers now fit.

I love to swim and I am ready!
ReplyDeleteI have already ordered three new suits. And I could watch the antics of the sea lions out there for hours.
ReplyDeletespeedos or banana warmers? (asking for a friend)
DeleteIf I still lived in Southern California, I'd be ready year round. The water is so much warmer down there. I don't need to buy any more swimsuits. I have so many very pretty jumbo sized suits that I carry on cruises. I love water too much to be embarrassed about the way I look. I just avoid floating on my back. Those shouts of "Thar she blows!" can be a might off putting :)
ReplyDeleteI love going to Pier 39 when we visit S.F. These pictures are wonderful. I can almost hear the happy barking.
