This was taken last Saturday morning, behind the building we live in an early riser seeing an early boomer. The trees are budding, the early bulb flowers are blooming in sunny spots. The sun rises a few minutes earlier each day, and sets a few minutes later each evening. The sheep will lamb soon. We are emerging from the darkness and cold.
Just as the climate runs in cycles, so do we. The darkness, the awakening of hope, the ripening of ideas, the autumn of maturity of our mission and then the beginning of new chapters in our lives. For me the hope of new ideas, sustains me through the darkness, and the cycle continues. It has taken a few decades to figure out that this is part of the cycle of life. Each season of our experience, follows the next, just as the seasons of the year follow each other.
I see lots of new ideas, and honestly lots of change in the next couple of cycles. Changes I have dreamed about and planned for, will rise and bloom over the next couple of years.

DeleteLove the photo; signs of Spring are a welcome thing.
ReplyDeleteYou should be a month ahead of us on spring
DeleteThis weekend it's "spring forward" time!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I am not ready for that.
DeleteDavid really really really hates the time changes.
DeleteFor sure
DeleteI love it when spring makes it's first appearance.

DeleteOur trees aren't flowering yet; buds starting to show up. The daffodils are splashing their bright and cheery yellow all over!
ReplyDeleteDaffodils started three weeks ago, but only those in really sunny spots. The tree is one that always blooms early, sometimes in the snow. 58 and sunny this afternoon.
DeleteI've been struggling with the darkness lately. Thanks for reminding me: to everything turn, turn, turn
