The Sunday Five - Wisdom of the ages

1: Would you sooner be young and dumb or older and wiser?

2: How do you really feel about graying hair?

3: How old do you aspire to live to?

4: Have you ever lied about your age?

5: Do people think you are younger than you are, older than you are, or do most people think you look about the age you are?

My answers:

1: Would you sooner be young and dumb or older and wiser?  Older and wiser.

2: How do you really feel about graying hair? I am glad I still had some hair left to turn gray.

3: How old do you aspire to live to? About 80.

4: Have you ever lied about your age? No.

5: Do people think you are younger than you are, older than you are, or do most people think you look about the age you are?  Today, most people think I am younger than I am, when I was a teenager, most people thought I was older than I was.  The new dentist thought I was in my late 40's, I can still remember my late 40's.

    2. I'm ok with it.
    3. As old as I can go. Wouldn't it be cool to be 100!

    5. I think I've always looked a little younger than I am. Depends on who I ask.

    1. Young, dumb and full of ...
    2. I don't mind grey hair on anyone.
    3. It's very unlikely but 85 would be good age to not wake up one morning.
    4. Some lie about their age in a very implausible manner. I may have knocked off a couple of years at times.
    5. I feel I look older. So unlike vets who can tell a dog's age by its teeth, dentists can't with their human patients.

  3. Would you sooner be young and dumb or older and wiser? I already did the young dumb and fu....huh, thing, so now I'm doing the Older and wiser schtick.

How do you really feel about graying hair? I wouldn't mind it, but none yet.

How old do you aspire to live to? I wanted to make it to 50 then cut it off. Well, unless I die in a few days...I made it. My luck, Ill live to be 106.

Have you ever lied about your age? Yes, when younger. I was 21 for three years. I thought life would be over.

Do people think you are younger than you are, older than you are, or do most people think you look about the age you are? Most people guess my age as almost 10 years younger, so I don't complain. I will admit to aging very well.

A very Happy Hallows to you both today! πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ‘ΉπŸΈπŸ•·πŸ’€

  4. 1: Would you sooner be young and dumb or older and wiser? Why can’t I be younger and wiser?

2: How do you really feel about graying hair? I like it much more than no hair at all!

3: How old do you aspire to live to? Quality of life is what matters to me. I have no need to make it to 100 if it’s not fun.

4: Have you ever lied about your age? All the time. I’m actually 32.

5: Do people think you are younger than you are, older than you are, or do most people think you look about the age you are? Most people think I’m younger than I am, but I figure they’re just being kind.

  5. 1: Older and wiser, hands down. I'm half-way ghere - I'm older.

2: I love grey/silver/white hair nd whiskers and bald is beautiful!

3: No specific age in mind - I want to live as long as I'm relatively healthy, my brain works and I am able to be independent. I hope I get to enjoy at least a decade or two of retirement before I bite the dust. I do not want to outlive Jeffrey.

4: I've never lied about my age.

5: I think many people think I'm younger than I am, but probably because I'm immature and a kid at heart.

    1. As long as we can still have fun, let's stick around. One of my motivations for a retirement age, is to enjoy it while we can.

  6. 1. I guess you're assuming one gets wiser with age. If the case, I'll take that option.
    2. I'm finding my eyebrows and beard are going (have gone?) that way. I'm finding grey chest hair and that's bumming me out. The dome? Greying isn't an option.
    3. Maybe 75 tops. Unfortunately, my family goes into their 90s. But I have a plan. I don't want to be 90+.
    4. No. But no one really ever asks.
    5. In my mind and maturity I am WAY younger than I am. My body, however, seems to be way older than I am.
