Music Monday: For the Week before Halloween The Addams Family Intro

Why would I be shaking so much when I took this photo?  (F/22 and 1/6th of a second. - trying for depth of field.)

  1. 1/6 of a second is very slow for hand-held! I was once told that a good rule of thumb is a shutter speed whose denominator is at least twice the focal length of the lens you're using. So, with a 50mm lens, the minimum shutter speed would be 1/100s. It doesn't always work with the aperture you want, but it's a good place to start. /unsolicited advice.

Ha, I know full well why my photos can be blurry. Because my hands shake and I can't do much about that, but tech in cameras does help a lot.

I used to think Lurch was kind of attractive but Thing with his beckoning finger, well.

    1. Some of the vibration reduction systems in cameras are amazing, I have done some astounding hand held shots.
