My Music Monday - On The Sunny Side Of The Street

When I was growing up in Michigan, the American Poet Edgar A Guest did a recorded segment on one one of the Detroit radio stations.  This was his theme music, it brings back warm memories.  He was one of my mother's favorites.  She met him once.

It's nice and easy to listen to piece of music, performed by one of the best.

  2. This is a nice version. I'm used to hearing the Tommy Dorsey version with vocals by the Sentimentalists.

    2. I know, right? The same thing happens when I hear The Summer Wind. Maybe melancholy is the word I'm looking for.

  4. That made me smile. I used to hear that song playing at my house when I was growing up. I don't know if it was either of my parents favorite, but they obviously liked it.
