I am well on my way to being a long haired freaky person. I have not had hair this long since the late 1970's early 1980's, it may actually be longer in the back now than it was then. I am thinking about just letting it grow. It is getting close to being able to pull it back into a creepy old man ponytail, below the huge bald top. Telecommute has been extended by my office through at least the end of the calendar year, at that point I will have been 11 months without a haircut. It blows in the breeze so nicely when I put the top down on the little car.
Do you have COVID hair?
I had Covid hair until May, when I couldn't stand it any more and made Ken shave it off. Then I guess I had it again as it grew back, until last week when I went to the salon.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit of a bother
DeleteI got a haircut in july; I'm due for another. my salon practices safe operating procedures.
ReplyDeleteThe shop I have been going to, didn't reopen.
DeleteNo as I had it cut when I still could over three weeks ago. However, my partner with thick wavy hair did not and he is starting to look very wild and woolly.
ReplyDeleteMy hair is (was) thick, wavy, curly, a mess - I wonder if it gets long enough if it will be tamed somewhat.
DeleteHahaha love the sign!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have had home haircuts all this time. I took to my head with a clipper and then had to go looking for help to even it out. I also bleached it to make it look half-decent LOL
I'm also going to be doing teleconferencing til the end 2020. And I loved that song!!
XOXO
I have never bleached or colored my hair.
DeleteWow, that songs brings back memories! I thought it was pretty deep when I was 14.
ReplyDeleteI love lyrics with meaning and voices you can hear and understand.
DeleteOh yes, and it's driving me crazy. To the point where I'm contemplating making an appointment to get it cut in spite of the pandemic. Mine hasn't been cut for 6 months and for someone who got a haircut every 6 weeks, that's a long time. I will admit to cutting it myself about two months ago but that was just the length in back which is now back where it was back then.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping we would all look the the 1970's by years end.
DeleteNo, I don't have Covid hair. I gave it a go but decided I didn't like the way I looked with the space top and the thick bushy sides and back. So, I tucked my hair up under my hat and... got out the buzzers. (I have always loved this song.)
ReplyDeleteMy father kept his hair short nearly all of my life, being contrary I find it hard to do.
DeleteI get my very short hair cut every two weeks, so when the shops closed in early March, I was in a panic. It was many weeks of increasing longer, more depressing-looking hair. I started looking like my mother!! I went back on May 20th. My stepdaughter had a fit, so afraid I would infect her dad with Covid that I had gotten at the salon, apparently not worried about me with my compromised immune system due to MS. The facility had every precaution--temp checks at the door, hand sanitizer, mask at all times, just loosening the maske one side at a time so she could do the hair around the ears. My stylist sanitized the wash bowl area, her chair, etc. Only a few stylists worked in the shop at a time. I have gone back every two weeks every since. It's my one splurge on myself.
ReplyDeleteI cut my own hair with clippers! I save a lot of money that way! I keep my hair buzzed down pretty short.
ReplyDeleteOnce a while I get Someone to shave my hair on setting 1-2 what father calls a 'heinie'
ReplyDeleteit feels good
