This song gives me flashbacks, to a warm summer day in the early 1980's. I was living on the east coast of Florida. The wife of a client, called and wanted to go to lunch to discuss a house she wanted. She showed up in a little convertible, tossed me the keys and asked me to drive. The restaurant she had made reservations at was on the beach. This song was playing loud on the radio. She proceeded to seduce me that afternoon. The song brings back memories. Do you remember this one?
I do remember this little toe tapper. Like Mitchell (hi Scoot!) I prefer other versions. Fred Astaire is my favorite with Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle (Young Frankenstein) coming in a close second.
sure do remember this little ditty; one hit wonder this dude is.

DeleteOh yeah. But preferred the many early versions. So, did she succeed?
ReplyDeleteHow do I answer that?
DeleteTravel:
DeleteYes or no will suffice. No sordid details.
Do I seem like the kind that would kiss and tell?
DeleteThe answer is in the original statement. I didn't say she tried.
I am late to the party: my laptop still refuses to let me leave comments. (I am at work).
ReplyDeleteYes I remember this ditty. Jolly good fun !
You were alive then

ReplyDeleteThis one sounded great in an MG convertible with the top down.
DeleteDear heart, everything sounds great in a drop top!
DeleteI had that album many a year ago; loved it.
