A lot has happened at the office, someone died, someone left, someone retired, two new people have joined us, I have been promoted, all without being there in person. The way we were, the way we worked, may never be the same.
But I do hope I get more time outside of the box.
I have no idea what the story of the guy in the box above is. I was walking near the King Street station in Alexandria one day and he is in a front yard, with a spotlight. I knew this image would come in handy someday.
Who would have thought how much the world and our lives would change, never mind the fear of the then very unknown.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a marker on out lives
DeleteHow random.
ReplyDeleteAnd here we are
DeleteThe character in the box is the Lorax (Dr. Seuss). He speaks for the trees.
ReplyDeleteAnd he is on a tree stump
DeleteExactly! He stood on a tree stump in the book.
DeleteI kinda like the Lorax-[Thanks Mitchell]-In-The-Box.
ReplyDeleteI have gone back to four days inside work just recently. It still feels weird.
I am in the office occasionally, our return to office plan has no on my team in more than 3 days a week, one only 1.
Delete"I knew this image would come in handy someday." And today's the day!
ReplyDeleteI have thousands of photos waiting for the right idea
DeleteTwo years...wow. Sometimes it feels like forever, other times a blink of an eye.
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteThat image is perfect for your post. It is very hard to believe it's been two years. I find myself saying things like "just a few months ago I went to...." and then realizing it was before the pandemic so it had to be at least two years ago and probably longer. It's a strange feeling.
