The routine things in life need not be boring. Add some color, texture, scent. I was disappointed recently when I was in the mall, at how much plain white boring mens' underwear was in stock. I assume it is stock because it is what people are buying. Why? How repressed, how boring.
Why should shoes be only brown or black? Come on guys, shoes can have color and style.

ReplyDeleteI used to think that all I needed in shoes, besides comfort, was three colors. Black, brown and white. They went with everything, and funds were low. Now my shoes look like they were manufactured by the makers of Skittles. Wear the rainbow!

DeleteI don’t own a single pair of white underwear, but they can be kind of sexy. As for shoes, other than colorful sneakers, yeah, mine are black and shades of brown. I could go all Spanish preppy and get suede loafers in every color of the rainbow but preppy is just not me.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to remember the last time I wore anything other than colorful tennis shoes ("sneakers" is so northeast - a word my mother hated for some reason.)
DeleteSG calls them tennis shoes, as well (we were very specific about tennis shoes). British friends and family call them trainers (which I get confused with cross trainers). I can’t let go of sneakers. My northeast often rears its [ugly?] head.
