In a hollow tree
You hear them before you see them
Any idea what kind of bird this is?

This is a lot of images, I only do this once a month. A recap of my daily walks in the marsh. Thanks for sticking with me through all of these. You Made It!
Very nice pictures. I got that picture as big as I could...I believe it looks like a black and white Swallow. We have them at my lake too, in black and white and a iridescent blue. They love lakes and marshes.
ReplyDeleteWe have an eagle family...and the two eaglets are huge already.
Tree Swallow, I am sure we have chicks, but the nest is impossible to see into from the ground.
DeleteA great collection of photos. Can't tell what that bird is. I know "pretty bird" is a tufted titmouse, but you probably knew that, too. Would love to know what the yellow flower is. What a wonderful place to have nearby.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't looked up the pretty bird, THANK YOU! It is nice to have close by.
DeleteI wonder what the final pix references - a birthday, an anniversary, etc.
ReplyDeleteA run down the Mt Vernon Trail,
DeleteThe boat in the fog is a gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a morning fog.
DeleteLooks like a great walk!
ReplyDelete27 or 28 times last month, it is nice.
DeletePretty birdies. Love the boat!
ReplyDeleteStill looking for the penguins down there
DeleteWhat a great set of photos. I love all the bird shots and all the cute dogs.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are my primary target, some of the dogs seem to pose.
DeleteThe water with the boat photo is like glass. It must be fun to hear and then see woodpeckers.
ReplyDeleteThe river is tidal, at slack tide in calm weather, it is like glass. I have been trying write a couple of paragraphs about seeing with my ears. Engaging all of the senses
