Sunday Five: Flowers

I have spent four months taking pictures of wild flowers in the swamp, I have been taking photos of flowers since I was a teenager. Flowers fascinate me.  After my mother died, I started keeping fresh flowers in the house.

  1. Do you grow flowers in your garden, yard or terrace?
  2. When was the last time you had cut flowers in your house?
  3. Did your mother, have plastic flowers around the house?
  4. What is your favorite flower?
  5. Do you stop to smell the flowers?
My answers:

  1. Do you grow flowers in your garden, yard or terrace? Nope, plants die in my custody.
  2. When was the last time you had cut flowers in your house? Today.
  3. Did your mother, have plastic flowers around the house? Oh awful things, yes.
  4. What is your favorite flower? I like roses that smell like roses.
  5. Do you stop to smell the flowers? After checking for bees, yes.
Please share your answers in the comments.

    4. I like carnations. They last a long time and have a nice scent. Gardenias are good, too. Oooh, star jasmine.

    2. Okay, then change #1 to yes. I grow a mean shrub! I planted them and ignored them. They grew anyway.

    3. I've had cactus die from neglect. Most people kill them by overwatering, not me.

  2. 1 - in the yard

    2 - valentine's day

    3 - yes

    4 - carnations

5 - yes, provided they are not hyacinths or gardenias or lilies; their scents make me sneeze (allergies)

Did your mother, have plastic flowers around the house? Never
What is your favorite flower? Don't have one.
Do you stop to smell the flowers? Rarely. I'm allergic to bees and don't like to get my nose too close unless I'm sure there are none around.

    1. Bring home a small bundle of flowers the next time you go to uncle Albertsons. The yellow flowers WH posted recently were only $5 at Safeway.http://wickedhamster.blogspot.com/2020/10/back-to-basics-bouquet.html
