Yorkshire Pudding recently posted a photo of a French car, bringing back memories of something I owned in the early 1980's, and triggering this Sunday Five.

My answers:
1: What was the nicest car you have ever owned? A 1999 Cadillac Eldorado, it was luxury sports car.
2: What was the worst car you have ever owned? A 1972 or 73 Oldsmobile 88, my first car, it a POS.
3: What was the most fun car you have ever owned? My little VW puts a smile on my face everytime the top goes down.
4: What car did you drive the most miles (and how many?) A 1994 Honda Accord, I bought it new the day that model was released for sale in the USA, I drove it about 130,000 miles.
5: What is the fastest car you have ever driven? The red one above, we took factory delivery of it a few years ago and drove it on the autobahn in Germany, I was going about 110 miles an hour when a Porsche passed me.

What was the nicest car you have ever owned? Nicest and favorite is the Mazada MX-5. I'm soon thinking of getting a new car soon. It's been 5 years already.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the worst car you have ever owned? My second Volkswagen Jetta
What was the most fun car you have ever owned? The Mazada MX-5 I currently have.
What car did you drive the most miles (and how many?) My third Saturn...
301, 000 miles on it.
What is the fastest car you have ever driven? Warbuck's Mazarrati. It went from 0 -60 in 3 seconds. It went up to 208mph I recall. I was scared driving that car once when he had too much to drink. I was so afraid I have accident parking it.
1/ My Humber Super Snipe
ReplyDelete2/ My Humber Super Snipe. I handled like a boat and the parts falling off it along with the rusting sills were of the highest quality English workmanship.
3/ My Humber Super Snipe. In cold damp weather when I set the demister to on with the fan booster, if would immediately and completely fog up. This seemed a little wrong to me but you learn to live with the quirks of a classic car. Eventually my partner refused to drive it.
4/ My Chrysler VH Valiant.
5/ I never drove them fast enough to be sure, but I would guess a Ford Falcon GTHO, A Phase 3 in 1971 retailed for AU$5000. One recently sold for $1,300,000. My step sister's husband owned.
