The Sunday Five- Have You Noticed

  1. Have you noticed, that new opportunities tend to follow old problems?
  2. Have you noticed that most of the stuff we surround ourselves with, we don't use?
  3. Have you noticed that despite the dire warnings about changes in publishing, there are some really great books being published?
  4. Have you noticed that people take more photos than ever before in history?
  5. Have you noticed the train in the image above?
My answers:

  1. Have you noticed, that new opportunities tend to follow old problems? I have often found this to be true.
  2. Have you noticed that most of the stuff we surround ourselves with, we don't use? Yes, but I like the stuff.
  3. Have you noticed that despite the dire warnings about changes in publishing, there are some really great books being published? I am well on my way to reading 60 books this year.
  4. Have you noticed that people take more photos than ever before in history?  Yes, most of you took at least one last week with your phone.
  5. Have you noticed the train in the image above? Go ahead and look again, through the fence on the right.  That is what inspired me to capture that image.
Please share your answers in the comments.

  1. 1. I've noticed that as I get older, I don't understand certain questions anymore

    2. Yep, especially when one is moving after several years in one place.

    3. Haven't heard any dire warnings. I read what I like and don't consider what someone else thinks is great. If I enjoy it, it's great to me.

    4. Yes, especially when it comes to that freakin' burst button thingy. You get more pictures of one thing in one accidental push. Maybe that's just me.

    5. I noticed the train because I thought the picture was amazing and I took it all in. Good job!

    1. In some societies, not being bothered by the questions that bother others, is seen as a sign of enlightenment and wisdom.

Have you noticed the train in the image above? Because of the angle you almost don't see it because of the fencing illusion. I thought maybe I had to much gin.

    1. I am mostly an e-book reader, e-publishing has lowered the cost for books that would never be considered for print, some of them are very good.

  5. Have you noticed, that new opportunities tend to follow old problems? That's what I might call good luck ... or everything happens for a reason.

Have you noticed that most of the stuff we surround ourselves with, we don't use? Carlos and I live a pretty simple life and if we don't use it, we don't keep it. Sadly, that doesn't work for Carlos wardrobe as he tends to keep clothes for decades. But then, if everything old is new again, maybe those shirts will come back in style?

Have you noticed that despite the dire warnings about changes in publishing, there are some really great books being published? Publishing actual books may never go out of fashion and I love that.

Have you noticed that people take more photos than ever before in history? It's because almost all of us have a camera at the end of our arm now.

Have you noticed the train in the image above? Now that you mentioned it, and I opened the image in a new tab enlarging it!

    1. Someday I need to clean my closet, or maybe someone will do it after I am gone. I don't worry about style, but much of it won't fit.
