Travel Penguin Home Tour

A few weeks ago John Gray did a quick video tour of his home in Wales, more recently Sixpence Notthewiser offered to show us his, if we would show him ours. The Mistress and Mitchell are periodically showing us glimpses of their domestic bliss. I mentioned recently that I am trying to learn to edit video, and now audio, so this made the perfect simple project, complete with mostly voice over audio.  Not quite like MTV Cribs, but then no one on there ever had penguins and sheep in their living room.

Will you show us yours?

  1. GOOD BOY!!!!! I SPIED Hendricks, Blue Coat, Gunpowder Irish Gin and Knob Creek!!!!! You my kind of people honey!!!!!

When I see pans and a kitchen set up like that...someone likes to cook!!!!!

I love all the art work and glassware...looks great. I had no idea you painted?!?! But when you opened the closet was that the doors or your knee's that squeaked?

Lovely abode and very eclectic, everything is there for a reason.

    1. Glad it was fun, and always revealing. It was the door, I just couldn't edit that out.

It was very interesting to see Penguin Palace. Poor Jay, you sprung that on him, but then I did note it was after twelve and he hadn't showered so perhaps he deserved to be exposed. I might try to make an unedited video but the hard part for me will be talking as I am not terribly good at that.

    1. I never make my bed. In Johns video tour, the sound is just what he was thinking as he walked around with his I-Pad. In I-Movie it is fairly easy to edit the sound.

    1. There are penguins in every corner, and we gave away a bunch when we consolidated the other house into the condo. I thought is soliloquy was fun.

  4. Beautiful condo! Love the penguins, sheep, your fab paintings, your collections, your new bathrooms, etc! And I have the same washer/dryer unit -- must be standard apartment-size issue, LOL. Handyman Red Green says to tell you that a wee bit of WD-40 on your closet door hinges will take care of that squeaking.

    1. Thanks, I love the squeak, I never noticed it until I was editing the video and sound. Red Green has a fix for everything.

  6. Loved the tour. We are not hoarders, but my husband never throws anything away. When we met over twenty years ago, I had my first condo, and everything I owned was either out, organized in drawers and closets or in boxes of Christmas decorations. We bought our house in 1996--over 4000 sq. feet, 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths, full basement, four walk-in closets and other closets, and just the two of us!! Every square inch is filled with stuff, mostly his. He has every tool and gadget imaginable. My piles are mainly papers that I have yet to file. So, no video tour.

  7. Great tour. Great taste. And your paintings are a wonder. If I were Jay, you'd be in big trouble. But he looks adorable no matter what (and I still love that beard). (But, recording the unmade bed? I'd brain you for that!)

  9. I would also point out, for the sake of complete information, that the vehicles in the video are both David's. Mine is parked in the building garage and was not filmed. So yes, we have 3 cars. Conspicuous consumption is a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

  10. I love this!
Love the primary colors! They always make me happy. And the penguin!!
I think it was so sweet how J was standing at the door like 'not today, Satan! The bed is not made'! Too cute.
And I got some ideas from your kitchen!!

    XOXO
