The World at Your Fingertips

What did we do before we had the world at our fingertips?  We carry more computing power in our pockets, then the lunar lander had to land on the moon.  My phone has 40 times as much memory as my first desk-top computer.  The internet connects me to incredible resources.  I can search and find obscure facts and common knowledge.

  2. Our school system, with its 30,000 laptops in students' hands, struggles to teach the difference between good info and all the crap that's out there. As one librarian put it, "The Internet is miles wide, but only inches deep".

  3. I remember we read books, talked to each other, made eye contact, and went to the library when we didn't know something.
