My Answers:
1:What would you like to have accomplished in one year from now? I hope to be a better painter, I am working on faces at the moment.
2:What new ideas do you plan to pursue in the next year? Exploring the familiar and finding new details in the everyday.
3:What was the most difficult thing you traversed this year? Remaining positive when others are terrified of the world.
4:What is the most important lesson that you have learned this past year? To relax and enjoy the freedom of not working.
5:What was unknown to you a year ago? The beauty of St. Andrews in Scotland.

What would you like to have accomplished in one year from now? If I reach that point, and timing, and funds and other details...I'd leave the US. But in reality, I'd like to have my list of things to update at the ancestral home completed.

What was the most difficult thing you traversed this year? Cutting back on news and online activity.
What is the most important lesson that you have learned this past year? It can be hard but putting work second or third. I will never be a slave to work.
What was unknown to you a year ago? That I also enjoy rum.
We just need a powerball win.
Delete1. Increase my walking ability. It is hard when in pain but I must do so.
ReplyDelete2. Ideas...I don't know. I am working on cleaning up my digital footprint and online security, but it is so time consuming.
3. I think I can say a period of unexpected grief at the loss of my life partner. I can rationalise what may have kicked it off, but I don't really know for sure.
4. To not trust any business or tradesperson to get things right. They don't like being supervised, but I've realised it is important.
5. Having taken my tenants to various places in my state, realising what natural beauty that there is not so far from home.
The loss of a love can take a long time to process, and some questions we are never answered.

3:What was the most difficult thing you traversed this year? That my son and his girlfriend, the mother of my grandson, have separated.
4:What is the most important lesson that you have learned this past year? That when you think the current president of the USA has gone as low as he possibly can do, he goes even lower.

3:What was the most difficult thing you traversed this year? The aftermath of my father's death. There was a lawsuit first filed against his estate that was dismissed, so they filed against his homeowner's insurance and that was denied, and then they sued to insurance company and I was to be next in line of suing until the insurance company settled WITH prejudice so they cannot ever come after me or my family. But it was a lot of kerfuffle and worry for a time.
4:What is the most important lesson that you have learned this past year? That I can love my brother but I do not have to like him.
5:What was unknown to you a year ago? That I can do more than I ever thought, handle more than I ever thought. What doesn't kill you ...
Settling an estate, even without litigation, is immensely stressful.
