If I had a critique of the collection, there was a little bit of everything, and not a lot of anything. All of it was good. The display tried to show a little bit of everything.
Wow, you did a great job showing the highlights of the Phoenix Art Museum. You've picked up the art and the architecture. That last painting had been on my site before. I love that one.
In the land of such divisions, the artistic among its citizens do museums so well.
ReplyDeletePhoenix has several nice museums.
DeleteI love it all!
ReplyDeleteSo many wonders to see.
DeleteIn the third picture down, what was The Wicked Hamster doing sitting on that window sill? I didn't realise that he was so heavily tattooed.
ReplyDeleteS.A., I was traveling alone on this trip.

DeleteSomething for everyone in this art gallery! The final two are so striking!

DeleteSuch great stuff, though I like the landscape best; I think New Mexico and Arizona landscapes are their own art installations.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty part of the world.
DeleteVery nice; needs more sheep. 🐑🐑🐑
ReplyDeleteMost places need more sheep/

ReplyDeleteThe depth and texture of the paint, is amazing.
DeleteSuch a variety of art and all of it wonderful. I love the tiny Calder. All of his pieces I've seen are on a much larger scale.
ReplyDeleteThe Calder is a tabletop size, you could have it at home.
DeleteI haven't been in an art museum for years. I will have to head to Chicago's Art Institute one of these days. I could use some art.
ReplyDeleteChicago has a couple of great museums. There is or was a contemporary art museum north of the river between Michigan Avenue and the Lake.
