  2. 1: What is the best program on television these days? I gave up TV when it went digital - I wanted to see how long it would take until I missed it. I'm still waiting. I miss Gwen Ifill on Washington Week. However, unless she comes back from the dead, that will never happen again. From YouTube clips I've developed a fondness for Stephen Colbert's show
2: What is your all time favorite movie? Star Wars. It operates on so many different levels.
3: When was the last time you saw a live stage play? Probably May/June 2011. I was laid off in October 2010 and would have been using up the last of my ACT subscription. Other than that, the Palm Sunday liturgy is a bit of a performance.
4: What was the first "concert" you attended? LA Philharmonic - Zubin Mehta conducting and Vladimir Ashkenazy was the piano soloist. Mother's first subscription series happened to the LA Phil was on my 11th birthday.
5: When they make an animated movie of your life, who would you want to play the part of you? The Roadrunner

  3. 1. Given I at time watch YouTube on the tv, I'll say Foxes Afloat, even if I don't bother with their live broadcasts.
    2. That's a hard one to narrow down, but I'll say Cabaret.
    3. It is too long ago to remember.
    4. The band Skyhooks, at a small then local venue.
    5. This requires some knowledge of animation, which I don't have.

  4. 1: What is the best program on television these days? Couldn’t say
2: What is your all time favorite movie? I couldn’t name just one
3: When was the last time you saw a live stage play? A few years ago, Company, with Antonio Banderas in Málaga.
4: What was the first "concert" you attended? I can’t believe I can’t remember. I know I saw plenty of things as a kid. And then loads as a teen and young adult. John Sebastian was one I can think of when I was around 17, I think.
5: When they make an animated movie of your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Wow. I’m finding all these questions challenging. This, too, would take a lot of thought.

2: What is your all time favourite film? "Schindler's List"
3: When was the last time you saw a live stage play? On Friday night
4: What was the first "concert" you attended? It is so long ago that I cannot remember but a very early one would have been The Nice with Keith Emerson at Burton Constable Hall.
5: When they make an animated movie of your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Animated? You mean that I would be played by an animal? Let's say a Bengal tiger. Besides no human actor could possibly capture my natural charisma and imposing presence.

    2. I heartily agree with Wolf Hall! Best line so far was re Anne Boleyn's accused lovers: "And I found 5 guilty men, though perhaps not as charged."

  12. 1: What is the best program on television these days? I don't watch much TV but do enjoy what PBS offers.
2: What is your all time favorite movie? Dead Poets Society
3: When was the last time you saw a live stage play? About a month ago when we were In Florida..."Come From Away." It's about the diverted 9/11 flights to the US that had to land in Gander, Newfoundland and how the town welcomed all these people who just wanted to get home. What a juxtaposition to the current US/Canadian relations.
4: What was the first "concert" you attended? Elton John in the mid-70s. He opened with "Funeral for a Friend," using dry ice effects. It was a musical and theatrical experience.
5: When they make an animated movie of your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Back in the day, I took all my kids to the Disney movies and the one character that resonates with me is Princess Jasmine. I am no princess, but Jasmine had people all around her trying to decide her future. In her adventure to self-discovery, she broke out of her comfort zone and discovered a whole new world outside of her safe and predictable palace walls.
