Music Monday - What A Wonderful World

Second and third years of law school, I rented a small efficiency apartment near the campus. The University was 82 miles from home, renting the apartment saved me 12 hours a week of driving.  The apartment was intentionally spartan, I could cook, take a shower, study and sleep, and that was about it.  No TV, no internet, no telephone.  I had a cell phone, but reception was spotty at best.  I had a CD player and two radios.  In the mornings I would click on an anthology CD of upbeat music, when Louis Armstrong sang What a Wonderful World, it was about time for me to head to class.

Do you use music to help maintain your mood?

  1. music was my outlet; it helped me to temporarily escape my abusive living situation with my "parents". I have used music throughout my life to express myself, to escape the evil since 11/8/16. and this is ALWAYS a cool song!

Great photo. Music mostly annoys me nowadays and I seldom listen to it and if I do, I like a video clip to go with it. But what a classic is, What a Wonderful World.

  3. Yes. Either up or down. Sometimes it helps to just wallow in the mood and music.

    1. The first thing I do when my office computer comes up, is start the music for the day.

  5. Every apartment I had in college was basically an efficiency 😎. Easy to take care of and with the necessary. The first thing I bought was a CD player, too. I don’t even think I had cable.
    That photo is gorge.

    XoXo

  6. I use music to entertain me while driving. I also have certain "happy" songs that pull me out of a funk when I feel it trying to hover around for days. I don't really use music every day to set moods.
