Sunday Five - Bones

There is a bone museum on the tourist strip in Orlando, I visited the gift shop and skipped the museum.

  1. Have you ever broken a bone?
  2. If you could would you be taller, shorter, or stay just the way you are?
  3. Have you ever collected animal bones?
  4. Do bones creep you out?
  5. Have you ever seen a great bone collection in an anthropology or natural history museum?
My Answers:

  1. Have you ever broken a bone? No
  2. If you could would you be taller, shorter, or stay just the way you are? It would be nice to be 2 inches taller.
  3. Have you ever collected animal bones? I had a deer skull when I was a kid. My father had a friend with a deer hunting lodge in northern Michigan, I spotted it hanging on a tree, and Bob retrieved it and gave it to me.  I kept it in a shoe box for years, I have no idea what happened to it.
  4. Do bones creep you out? Not really.
  5. Have you ever seen a great bone collection in an anthropology or natural history museum? The natural history Museum at Oxford is amazing.

Please share your answers in the comments.

Do bones creep you out? no not really.

Have you ever seen a great bone collection in an anthropology or natural history museum? Several different museums. The Mutter Museum here in Philly is the closet and most unusual one to ever be in with all it's oddities.

Broke my leg when very young.

My vertical dimensions are fine. The horizontal ones, not so much.

I am not a bone collector.

    No, bones don't worry me.

I've seen plenty of dinosaur bones at our museum.

  6. 1. I broke Balder Half's bone. On our honeymoon. I was insatiable and he was happily exhausted and boneless. That probably isn't the kind of bone you're asking about, huh? :) I've never broken a bone of the other variety.

    2. I've always wanted to be taller or petite. This middle ground can be boring. I have a couple of girl friends who are over six feet. I keep yelling at them to stop slouching. Hold your heads up and own it ladies!

    3. Animal bones? Nope.

    4. No, bones don't creep me out.

    5. Yeah. It was a museum in Chicago in 1976. I don't remember the name, but the dinosaurs were awesome!

  7. 1) Nope never broke a bone, came close a couple of times.

    2) I would like to be taller, 6'1 would be my choice but I don't really worry about it.

    3) Animal bones, yes sort of when we were kids we collected them but outside only. We lived in the country and had a collection of cow skulls.

    5. I've been to the Royal Tyrrell Dinosaur Museum in Drumheller, Alberta. In fact, seems like every museum in Alberta has dinosaur bones. We were lousy with dinosaurs once. Now we've got oil.
