The first time I was in Williamsburg was with a 2-year old, the last time was with my high school daughters' competition cheerleading team...a screaming little one and a group of screaming girls! 😂
I love Williamsburg. The first time I went was years back while visiting my favorite aunt who lived in Burke, VA. She took me everywhere through Virginia and Maryland while I visited. It was a great trip.
I've never been there but I have heard it is really nice. Glad you had a good getaway! I was in Texas for the weekend to visit grandkids - much busier and louder than your getaway - but lots of fun!
Williamsburg was very peaceful that day. A nice place for a quiet stroll. Jamestown had several school groups, filled with the joys of youth. (And noise that goes along with it.)
Is that woman chatting on an original mobile phone?
ReplyDeleteAn IPhone 1.0 I am sure.

ReplyDeleteTime to go back, mid October was a great time, the weather was mild and it was not crowded.

ReplyDeleteWe need to spend more time exploring the region.

DeleteGreat set of photos. I love the lady in 1800's clothes checking her phone.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist that image.
