Well this was a unique experience, the hotel put us in a renovated log cabin with a huge stone fireplace. But our first reaction was you have got to be kidding. The cabin was over the cliff and half way down the mountainside, see the roof top on the horizon, that is it. There were 63 steps from the parking area to the cabin door. Hauling luggage in the dark and rain, I really wished I could fly.
Looks like a scenic hike!ReplyDelete
That will teach ya to pack light!ReplyDelete
Apparently they ran out of rooms and had to give you the handicapped accessible suite. It IS Kentucky, ya know...ReplyDelete
My hubby and I honeymooned in Alaska and we stayed for part of our honeymoon in a cabin up near Denali. I was bitten by the biggest wolf spider I've ever seen while i was sleeping. I reached down and grabbed for whatever stung me and thought it was a bee because it felt big and hairy. Ugh. Anyway, it was wild. But isn't that what Alaska is all about?
