Herding the Sheep!

This is not what it looked like on the nature chanel. Annebele the duck with flags coming out of her legs decided that she would organize a little sheep herding. She has tried a couple of things and today things, well sheep that is, just seemed to pile up like cars on a foggy freeway. Maybe it is the Asian origin of the flock, is this how they herd sheep in China?

  1. Annabelle asked me to point out that she's actually holding the flags with her darling little wings. It's just that her little ducky body is so short (you have noticed that her body is actually spherical) the flag-staffs reach all the way down to her legs. It's not easy being a fluffy little spherical duck.

  2. Awww... where did you get so many sheep!?

Do you remember a few years ago there was some big retail chain that sells mattresses that used sheep in their ads? (I don't remember which one) But they were giving out free little sheep with each purchase of a new mattress.

So - does this mean perhaps you bought 6 new mattresses?

No, several years of sheep hunting, finding them one or two at a time.

  4. It started with a happy find at Krogers. Then about a year of sheep-drought, we bumped into them again, in a larger size, at Target. They only appear at Easter-time. (Wal-Mart, Meijers, Garden Ridge, JoAnn Fabrics, Every Tuesday, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, and Toys-R-Us don't carry them - not like I checked or anything).

  5. So, where are all of the cute woodland creatures? I see lots of cute barn yard animals, but us furry woodland creatures seem to be left out?

  6. Don't fret, WC, they're lurking just around the corner.

  7. I should add: lurking just around the corner and preparing for the invasion of Scotland.

  8. Let the invasion begin. I lead the troops into the thick of the Sctotish ale and small pubs everywhere.

  10. By that time, Sq. will be back to sieze the distilleries. Don't expect to see him for a few weeks after that operation.
