Music Monday - What A Wonderful World
Second and third years of law school, I rented a small efficiency apartment near the campus. The University was 82 miles from home, renting the apartment saved me 12 hours a week of driving. The apartment was intentionally spartan, I could cook, take a shower, study and sleep, and that was about it. No TV, no internet, no telephone. I had a cell phone, but reception was spotty at best. I had a CD player and two radios. In the mornings I would click on an anthology CD of upbeat music, when Louis Armstrong sang What a Wonderful World, it was about time for me to head to class.
Do you use music to help maintain your mood?

music was my outlet; it helped me to temporarily escape my abusive living situation with my "parents". I have used music throughout my life to express myself, to escape the evil since 11/8/16. and this is ALWAYS a cool song!

DeleteGreat photo. Music mostly annoys me nowadays and I seldom listen to it and if I do, I like a video clip to go with it. But what a classic is, What a Wonderful World.
ReplyDeleteWe drove around southern Germany for two weeks in 2015 - hence the picture
DeleteYes. Either up or down. Sometimes it helps to just wallow in the mood and music.
ReplyDeleteWallow in wonderfulness
DeleteYes, music always lifts my spirits, even sad hurtin' songs.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I do when my office computer comes up, is start the music for the day.
Deletewhen I get to the office, I turn my computer on first, then the radio to the classical music station. then I get a cuppa cawfee and read my e-mails.
DeleteEvery apartment I had in college was basically an efficiency 😎. Easy to take care of and with the necessary. The first thing I bought was a CD player, too. I don’t even think I had cable.
ReplyDeleteThat photo is gorge.
XoXo
I use music to entertain me while driving. I also have certain "happy" songs that pull me out of a funk when I feel it trying to hover around for days. I don't really use music every day to set moods.
