Where have I been: Out and about, lost, and found. As I edit this I am in Malaga, Spain. We flew to Madrid last Friday night.
What have I been up to: Relaxing, walking, museums, sightseeing, afternoon naps, long sleepy nights, long train rides, some nice some not.
Who have I seen: At the time this was written, my sweet bear, and lots and lots of Spanish people. The plan is to see Mitchell and SG on Friday.
What have I been eating: The joys of Spanish food. Roast chicken, several seafood items, and sweets - the Spanish are pastry masters.
Who deserves an atta boy? The waiter at lunch on Sunday who somehow managed to understand my blending of French and Italian and not a word of Spanish or English.
What am I looking forward to: Exploring Malaga, maybe a day trip, seeing Mitchell and meeting SG.
Why am I doing this: I needed an adventure.
What is my impression? The people are warm and inviting and seem happy. The Madrid had a warm color to it that surprised me. I expected grey stone, what I found was soft warm pastels. Lots of winding one way side streets. I could easily feel at home there. We just arrived in Malaga, it feels tropical, smells like the sea, we will get out and explore shortly.
Hmm? I don't normally post about traveling, while I am doing it. Before I left home I composed and scheduled two weeks worth of posts to give myself a break from posting. I find I need the connection with my network, and free WiFi makes this easy (my phone is still on airplane mode.)
How wonderful! Have the most fabulous time and enjoy your meetup with Mitchell and San Geraldo!
ReplyDeleteIt is putting the smile back on my face
DeleteWe are so looking forward to seeing you and I’m especially happy that you like what you’re experiencing. Can’t wait to hear what you’ve discovered.
ReplyDeleteExploring Malaga today, if someone finishes sleeping,
DeleteYou left a comment on my site a few days ago that made me wonder if you were in Spain. Good for you! What a nice and adventurous break.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun, and the people are so nice. The climate feels very southern California.
DeleteHave fun you two! Give Scoot and SG a big hug from me, if you're comfortable with doing that. Oh, ask them to do the same to you guys, from me of course. Is this taking vicarious too far?
ReplyDeleteHugs all around. It is a long trip, but you would like it here.
DeleteI like the hmmmm category.
