I have yet ever gotten to Louisville Kentucky, but one day I may go there has I have a blog reader there I'd like to meet. I always thought it looked like a fun city.
Great selection of photos. I’m shocked Kentucky has an actual naked David statue in public. The City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was gifted one years ago and they put it in a surround of trees where it couldn’t be seen unless you walked in for that specific purpose. I think they may even have made him wear a fig leaf at one time.
I'm happy to see your photos of Louisville. I have a friend who lives there now and had no idea what it looks like. I pictured more grass and horses! :)
An interesting choice of photos. I love the paddle steamer. Does it look like a showboat?

ReplyDeleteYou probably have a derby hat or two.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised, there is a 21C art hotel there, https://www.21cmuseumhotels.com/louisville
DeleteWe walked through the 21C when we were in Louisville. It had a very eclectic grouping of art.
DeleteThe golden David reproduction seems a bit unexpected as public art.
ReplyDeleteNice to see something unexpected
DeleteI love the photos! I especially like that wonderful old theatre and the modern performing arts center. That old Ford is fun too.
ReplyDeleteThe Theater is where my law school graduation was held.

ReplyDeleteI was downtown, it is a mid-sized old industrial city.
DeleteWas that third picture from the end a statue of the youthful Senator McConnell?
ReplyDeleteHe was never that pretty.
DeleteI would guess it would be fun to ride a river boat.
ReplyDeleteI never did
