We live about 5 miles, 6 subway stops, from Amazon's developing east coast headquarters, as they call it HQ2. Opinions vary on Amazon, an inspiration for a Sunday Five. I do want to snag an invitation to tour their new meeting space.
1: Do you order from Amazon?
2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon?
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray?
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?"
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife?
My answers:
1: Do you order from Amazon? Yes,
2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Often.
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? Yes, they send a picture of the box outside the door, I had one that was delivered to the wrong door based on the photo. Amazon re-shipped when the package didn't arrive after a few days.
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" I think they have.
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? Hmm, I am not a believer in an afterlife, but orders kept showing up on my father's account after he died.
Please share your answers in the comments.
1: Do you order from Amazon? When it’s the best option.
ReplyDelete2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Yes
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? Never
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" There’s no denying it. Too bad they haven’t built a more decent corporation.
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? Ha ha! I guess there can be Amazon deliveries (and bills) after death, but I don’t know if I’d call it the afterlife.
We could as, who is the most evil corporation.
Delete1. Aside from books for my Kindle, no. A couple of weeks ago, I cancelled my subscription for that. The company treats its workers very badly as I understand, and I refuse to deal with it. I do not like its business model at all.
ReplyDelete2. No.
3. N/A.
4. Maybe. I don't believe Amazon has had the impact in Australia that is has elsewhere. I don't know why.
5. If I hadn't cancelled my Kindle Amazon subscription, I expect in spite of me no longer downloading books, the charge would just go on until cancelled by someone. It is not alone there.
It is easier to cancel the account the charge is to, than to cancel the recurring charges.
Delete1: Do you order from Amazon? Rarely. Not in the past year.
ReplyDelete2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Occasionally.
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? Not to my knowledge.
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" Well I don't know what that means. I caught a mouse last night in my simple "Little Nipper" trap. Besides, who says that?
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? When climate change destroys us all, I suspect that The Amazon will keep on flowing from The Andes.
Probably and American idiom, build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door.
DeleteTo answer any and all questions, I will save time and say Amazon can go rot in hell. I would go 50 miles out of my way before I order anything from that company. I gather you guessed I am not a fan of Amazon. I have done numerous posts on why this company is evil and I despise the hell out of them.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Walmart, I knew this one would draw strong feelings.
Delete1. I do. It's almost impossible not to now and then.
ReplyDelete2. I do comparison pricing and reviews there, though the reviews are suspect at best.
3. Not sure what 'astray' refers. None have gone missing, and only one thing I can think of was the incorrect item or size.
4. They have the dominating site to order products for sure. Is it 'better'? Dunno. Is it omnipresent - yes.
5. This might be the afterlife. And right know it seems to be hell.
We might be in a dream, inside of a dream,
Delete1. Do you order from Amazon? Yes, and I do have a love/hate relationship with the company.
ReplyDelete2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Yes
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? I have not had an order to my house go astray but have taken packages that weren't mine that were delivered to my house to the address on the package.
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" I think so.
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? Haven't thought about that.
It is such an easy way to shop.
Delete1: Do you order from Amazon? Yes
ReplyDelete2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Yes
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? Once it was delivered to the wrong door.
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" I think they have
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? We'll see, won't we?
There are 1,000 doors where I live, I have had a couple go to the wrong door, and delivered a couple that were left at my door my mistake (right door wrong floor.)
Delete1. Yes, I do occasionally order from Amazon.
ReplyDelete2. Yes, I check products and prices there from time to time.
3. Everything's been delivered okay so far. However, I did in the past get those scam "Amazon Delivery" texts although they seem to have died down now.
4. Well, they've achieved market dominance and are responsible for driving many other operations out of business, if that constitutes a "better mousetrap." Amazon's success is also built on the back of an army of poorly paid workers.
5. I hope there's an afterlife for Jeff Bezos and his greed.
He bought a ship to follow his yacht, to carry his girlfriend's helicopter. His ex-wife says she intends to give it all away by the time she dies.
Delete1: Do you order from Amazon? Yes. Last thing came a cover for a tablet.
ReplyDelete2: Do you check products and prices on Amazon? Yes.
3: Have you ever had an Amazon delivery go astray? One time my credit card wasn't going though. Does that count?
4: Has Amazon, as they say, "built a better mousetrap?" Not sure.
5: Is there Amazon in the afterlife? I'm sure they we will be. I hope so. Personal I don't believe in so call heaven or hell.
Amazon likes me
DeleteWell, I was visiting my son in Houston this weekend and we were while out driving, his 4 year old daughter yelled, "Amazon" when she saw the parking lot of delivery trucks near the Amazon distribution center. Her brother (8 years old) said, "She LOVES Amazon." I think because they bring packages ( = presents)! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteA few clicks and things appear at my door, it makes shopping easy
