In October of 2022 I spoke at a conference in Reno, and we stayed over for a few days at Lake Tahoe. We stayed on the south end of the lake, just across the state line in California. The last day we were in Reno it rained heavily, and snowed in the mountains around the lake. It was the first snow of the season and a wonderful way to see the lake.
It looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt was amazing.
DeleteI agree with Mr Mitchell but who is the young guy with the single snowball? Did you tell The Sweet Bear about him?
ReplyDeleteA tourist who was playing in the snow.
DeleteThat was soooo wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhere to next?
DeleteBeautiful natural setting!
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty place and the snow made it better.
DeleteThese are beautiful photos. I had a temporary work assignment in Reno back in the 90's and I got to see the lake in winter. It's such a beautiful sight with the snow covering the ground and trees like in your photos.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad we went.
DeleteIt's really lovely! You will have to have a trip back there now that you have time.
ReplyDeleteLake Tahoe was fun,
DeleteI've never been, but it looks beautiful.

It is very alpine.
DeleteI've been to Lake Tahoe in the late spring and early fall and it's beautiful those times of the year. It must be beautiful year 'round.
ReplyDeleteThe winters can be kind of brutal, they had an avalanche recently.
DeleteI heard a lot of nice things about the Sierra and Lake Tahoe.
ReplyDeleteTahoe is beautiful if you can get out of the casinos but then you were on the California side. Does the man shown in that picture not have a snowball in his hand and did he turn and hurl it at you?
ReplyDeletecurious; are people living or even allowed on the lake?
