The Sunday Five: Daily Routine

1: What is your morning routine like?

2: When do you read and comment on Blogs?

3: Is there anything you do almost everyday?

4: Do you shop with or without a shopping list?

5: What should you do, that you don't do?

My answers:

1: What is your morning routine like? I get up, when I wake up and I am sure I am not going back to sleep, after the toilet, I wash my hands and take my daily pills, pull some clothes on, go to the kitchen and start the coffee and make toast.

2: When do you read and comment on Blogs? As soon as the toast is ready, I eat breakfast at the desk in my bedroom, and read blogs.

3: Is there anything you do almost everyday? I walk an hour or more almost every day.

4: Do you shop with or without a shopping list? Without, there is a running list on the refrigerator door, if it is long I will snap a photo of it with my phone, but most of my shopping is sans list.

5: What should you do, that you don't do? Vacuum parts of my bedroom floor.

Please share your answers in the comments.

  1. 1. Wake at 6.59 and listen to the ten minute ABC radio news bulletin. Arise and watch fifty minutes of YouTube videos. 8.00 shower etc and dress for the day. After showering, turn on desktop and do what I do in the few minutes left before 8.30, whereby I send my neighbour the 'dead in bed' text, to note she is ok, and take my medications. Back to the desktop until 30 minutes after I take my medication to eat cereal, usually topped with fruit and psyllium husks. Then whatever is happening for the day will happen.

    2. Mostly before 10am and then late afternoon.

    3. Lots of things I do everyday, such as go out for coffee and a bite to eat, at the least.

    4. I/we used to have a list. Now I buy so little food, a list is mostly unnecessary.

    5. Not much but I would be much better to just do things, rather than thinking about them and procrastinating.

5: What should you do, that you don't do? Coulda and shoulda... I try to avoid those terms.

  4. 1: What is your morning routine like? Slothful. I get up late because I go to bed late. I come downstairs in my dressing gown and prepare a pint mug of tea with some breakfast.
2: When do you read and comment on Blogs? I start almost immediately with "Shadows and Light" and "Magnon's Meanderings". These guys are like clockwork bloggers so new posts are always there.
3: Is there anything you do almost everyday? Eat, drink, urinate, defecate and these days swallow my anti-hypertension pills.
4: Do you shop with or without a shopping list? Normally without unless the missus has asked me for something specific.
5: What should you do, that you don't do? Plan to assassinate the fellow in The White House for what he has done and what he has not done.

  5. 1: What is your morning routine like? Awake at 7AM, shower, then breakfast and feeding cats and listening to the news.
2: When do you read and comment on Blogs? After breakfast and before I leave for work on the days I go IN to work; otherwise I comment sometimes later in the day.
3: Is there anything you do almost everyday? Live, laugh, love, breathe and stretch.
4: Do you shop with or without a shopping list? Always with a list so I won't forget something or buy something I don't really need.
5: What should you do, that you don't do? I am not a bed maker so that falls on Carlos; it ain't much but I hate making a bed while I love getting into a bed that's been made. Go figure.

    1. I almost never make a bed, and when the sheets are all tucked in, I pull them lose before getting comfortable (in hotels I always have to pull the top sheet loose, I don't like the pressure on my feet.) Buying things I don't really need at the grocery store is a great pleasure of shopping for me.
