Get up, Get Out There, and Explore the world around you.
There are joys and wonders in every corner of this vast world.
In your neighborhood, or half way around the world,
See, Hear, Smell, Feel, and Taste the wonders around you.
This week, try something different,
Listen to the silence - the birds - the rhythm of the traffic - the sound of a train in the distance. These are the music of the world around us.
Sing out loud, in a choir, or to the tune in your head, so that others know there are human sounds to be heard.
Brighten the day of others by your radiance and kindness.
Bring light into the world by your presence, your words, your action.
To answer the questions about the weather here:

I wonderful post....and words to live by....but after the weekend of further terrible news...it is getting harder to muster any bright light. History is repeating...and not a good piece of history.
ReplyDeleteIn challenging times, good people need to remain strong.
DeleteGreat profile shot.
ReplyDeleteI turn the camera on myself everyday.
DeleteYes, keep active while you still can!
ReplyDeleteIf I stop moving, I may rust or freeze.
DeleteI was hoping we'd get more snow this weekend because I love the way everything is so still and quiet; sadly what we got is already gone!
ReplyDeleteWe have plenty, come by and take all you want home, for free.
DeleteI will get out to the grocery store today. Not too exciting but necessary. Oh, and I will also do laundry. I definitely need more fun in my life! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd you read and commented on blogs, somedays that is the highlight of the day.
DeleteI will do just that! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunshine
DeleteGet Out There? Not when there's a frigging ice storm David! Best to stay indoors wearing warm clothes, playing with your puppy, your kitten... or maybe your hamster.
ReplyDeleteI went to the gym and the pool on Monday. To the gym on Sunday while it was coming down.
DeleteThough our weather is nothing like yours, I only got "out there" to my mailbox. But I did spend much of the day "playing in the kitchen". Fun.
ReplyDeleteOutings need to be carefully planned in this weather.
